Poland's PM appoints Renata Mroczek as energy market regulator URE chairwoman
Poland's Prime Minister Donald Tusk has appointed Renata Mroczek as chairwoman of Poland's energy market regulator URE for a five-year term, according to a press release issued by the regulator.
The decision was preceded by an open and competitive recruitment process.
Renata Mroczek is the seventh head of URE, she has just replaced Rafal Gawin in this position. She has been serving as the regulator's deputy chairwoman since October 30, 2024.
Previously, from 2017, Mroczek headed the Central-Western Regional Branch of the URE based in Lodz.
The head of URE is the central government administration body appointed to perform tasks related to the regulation of fuel and energy management and the promotion of competition in these markets.
