Action retailer plans to open first units in Switzerland and Romania in H1 2025
Listed retailer Action plans to open its first locations in Switzerland in the first half of 2025, in both the German-speaking and French-speaking regions, and its first shops in Romania in the autumn, the company said in a press release.
The chain's net sales in 2024 increased to EUR 13.8 billion, up 21.7 percent compared to 2023. Comparable sales (excluding new shops) increased by 10.3 percent.
Action opened 352 locations in 2024, ending the year with a total of 2,918 shops in 12 European countries.
Action is a chain of non-food discount stores.
