Listed e-commerce platform Allegro.eu has decided to buy back 38,942,976 of its own shares at a price of PLN 35.95 (EUR 8.40) per share. The company received offers from shareholders to sell shares at a price not higher than the final price, covering a total of 153,407,636 shares, with an average reduction rate of 74.6 percent, the company said in a statement.
Earlier, the management board of Allegro.eu invited offers to sell no more than 46,204,620 shares of the company, representing a total of no more than 4.4 percent of the share capital, at a price not lower than PLN 30.3 (EUR 7.08) and not higher than PLN 36.2 (EUR 8.46).
"Due to the fact that the company received a sufficient number of offers to sell to realise essentially the entire amount of PLN 1.4 billion, it was necessary to proportionally reduce the submitted offers in accordance with the allocation rules specified in the Invitation," the announcement said.
The announcement added that the company received offers from shareholders to sell shares at a price not higher than the final price, covering a total of 153,407,636 shares of the company
"Therefore, the average reduction rate of offers submitted by shareholders at a price not higher than the final price was 74.61 percent. Offers for an additional 189,668,934 shares were rejected because the sale price indicated in them was higher than the final purchase price set by the company," it added.
The company announced that the settlement of the purchase of shares from shareholders whose offers were accepted will take place on August 5, 2025.
