Bank Handlowy w Warszawie SABank Handlowy posts PLN 165.6 mln net profit in Q2 2025, above expectations
Bank Handlowy, the Warsaw-listed unit of Citigroup, posted PLN 165.6 million (EUR 38.8 mln) of attributable net profit in the second quarter of 2025, above the market expectations for PLN 157.0 million (EUR 36.8 mln) net take, the lender's financial report showed.
The bank's results in the second quarter were affected by the sale of its retail business to VeloBank, which is defined as a discontinued operation. At the end of May, the bank signed an agreement to sell its retail business to VeloBank.
The presented net profit comes from continuing and discontinued operations. The data for the second quarter of 2024 has been restated by the bank for comparability purposes.
