Bank Millennium SABank Millennium wants to earmark 35-50 pct of profit for dividends
Listed lender Bank Millennium wants to return to paying a dividend of between 35 and 50 percent of net profit, the bank's deputy CEO Fernando Bicho told a conference on Tuesday. The dividend is planned to be paid out of 2026 profits.
"We want to return to the level of 35-50 percent dividend payout (...), it will depend on the regulatory environment,” Bicho told the conference.
In its strategy for 2025-2028 published Monday, Millennium said the reinstatement of dividend payments is planned from 2027, subject to a favourable regulatory environment. The bank plans to pay dividends from its 2026 profit.
Currently, Bank Millennium's reported ROE is 10.1 percent, and ROE adjusted for costs associated with its foreign currency mortgage portfolio is at 18.3 percent.
After three quarters, the consolidated Tier 1 ratio is at 15.3 percent and TCR at 17.9 percent.
Capital surpluses are at 5.5 percent and 5.7 percent, respectively.
