Best debt collector plans to complete post-merger integration at end-2025

Listed debt collector Best plans to complete the integration following its merger with another listed debt collector Kredyt Inkaso at the end of 2025, Best's CEO Krzysztof Borusowski told a conference. He added that group's mutual funds company BEST TFI's takeover of full fund management following the merger is scheduled for early October.

"We plan to complete the merger, essentially the PMI, or post-merger integration, by the end of this year," CEO Borusowski told the conference.

He added that in the context of the merger between Best and Kredyt Inkaso, BEST TFI will take over fund management at the beginning of October. He added that Best will also undergo team restructuring in the near future.

"The group is already operating on a single operating system [SIGMA - PAP ed.], which took us about 4.5 months," Borusowski said.

He also pointed out that the group is working on how to exit the Russian market.

"The company's assets, both cash and in the form of portfolios, receivables and fixed assets, have been completely written off in our books [in Russia - PAP ed.], because we believe that in the current international situation, we are unable to guarantee anything to our shareholders in this regard," the CEO said.

"However, Romania and Bulgaria have been added [to the Best's structure - PAP ed.]. Romania is a very interesting country. It is roughly half the size of Poland in terms of economic potential and population, with very similar growth dynamics to Poland," he added.

Borusowski also pointed out that the group's technological transformation remains a priority.

"The technological transformation programme we have adopted is in full swing (...) in accordance with the schedule," he confirmed.
