BNP Paribas Bank Polska SABNP Paribas BP lender plans to issue max. PLN 650 mln capital bonds in Q4 2024
Listed lender BNP Paribas Bank Polska plans to issue capital bonds with a total nominal value of no more than PLN 650 million (EUR 149.7 mln) in the fourth quarter of 2024, the bank said in a market filing.
The bank said that it had abandoned the capital bond issue under the terms presented in October. At the time, BNP Paribas BP had planned to issue bonds with a total nominal value of up to EUR 150 million in the fourth quarter of 2024.
The PLN capital bonds will be instruments without a specified maturity date, entitling the bank to receive interest for an unspecified period of time, with the proviso that the bank will be able to redeem them early under the terms and conditions of the issue.
The interest rate will be set on market terms, based on the WIBOR 3M reference rate and a margin.
The PLN capital bonds will be purchased exclusively by BNP Paribas S.A., based in Paris.
These bonds will be classified in the bank's own funds as additional instruments in Tier 1 capital after BNP Paribas Bank Polska has obtained the relevant approval from Poland's financial market regulator KNF.
