LW Bogdanka SABogdanka coal estimates PLN 408.6 mln in EBITDA in H1 2025
Listed coal mining group Bogdanka estimates that in the first half of 2025 it generated PLN 408.6 million (EUR 96,1 mln) in EBITDA and PLN 264.7 million (EUR 62.2 mln) in consolidated net profit, the company said in a market filing. Commercial coal production in the period amounted to 3.87 million tonnes, and sales to 4 million tonnes.
The group estimates that in the first half of 2025, it had PLN 1,522.6 million (EUR 357.96 mln) in sales revenue and PLN 310.8 million (EUR 73.1 mln) in EBIT.
It was reported that the preliminary financial results of the group in the first half of 2025 were significantly affected by the liquidation of damage that took place in the first quarter of 2025, in the amount of PLN 144.85 million (EUR 34.05 mln). The event concerned damage to underground property that took place in February 2023.
Bogdanka indicated that the results for the current financial year will also be affected by lower depreciation due to write-offs on the balance sheet value of assets.
The final results will be presented in the interim condensed consolidated financial report of the LW Bogdanka Group for the first half of 2025, scheduled for publication on September 8, 2025.
