Bogdanka coal's Q1 net profit amounts to PLN 283.9 mln, in line with estimates

Listed coal mining group Bogdanka's consolidated net profit in the first quarter of 2025 amounted to PLN 283.9 million (EUR 66.8 mln) and EBITDA to PLN 395 million (EUR 92.9 mln), Bogdanka said in a report. The results are in line with earlier estimates.


Sales revenue was PLN 868.9 million (EUR 204.5 mln) and EBIT was PLN 343.7 million (EUR 80.9 mln).

By comparison, in the first quarter of 2024, the group generated revenues of PLN 815.9 million (EUR 192 mln), EBITDA was PLN 162.5 million (EUR 38.2 mln) and net profit was PLN 42.8 million (EUR 10 mln).

Commercial coal production was 2.7 million tonnes (up 41.4 percent year on year), sales were 2.2 million tonnes (up 27.3 percent).

At the end of the first quarter of 2025, coal stock stood at 573,000 tonnes, 414,000 tonnes more than at the end of 2024.
