BOS lender reports 108.8 pct y/y net profit growth in Q1-Q3 2025

The net profit of listed lender BOS in the first three quarters of 2025 reached PLN 85.7 million (EUR 18.4 mln), representing a 108.8 percent year on year growth, the bank said in a press release.

"The results from the last 9 months confirm that we are heading in the right direction, and we see a clear revival of activity after more than a decade of stagnation. (...) The BOS group recorded a significant acceleration in development dynamics, reflected in a roughly 10 percent increase in total assets, from PLN 22.7 billion at the end of 2024 to PLN 24.9 billion at the end of Q3 2025," said CEO Bartosz Kublik, quoted in the press release.

Total loan sales in the first three quarters of 2025 amounted to PLN 3,688.2 million (EUR 792.5 mln), up 37 percent year on year. The bank reported growth in lending in both the corporate client segment and among SMEs and retail customers.

Over 35 percent of loans and credits granted in Q1-Q3 2025 were, in line with the bank's strategic priority, pro-ecological loans. Their sales in the first three quarters of 2025 amounted to PLN 2,055.6 million (EUR 441.6 mln), an increase of 58.1 percent compared to the same period last year. BOS stated that loans supporting sustainable construction, thermomodernization, energy, and municipal economy dominated this segment.

The interest income was PLN 595.9 million (EUR 128 mln), a decrease of 3.7 percent year on year.

Fee and commission income reached PLN 97.5 million (EUR 20.9 mln), marking an increase of 1.6 percent compared to the same period last year. The bank said the main reason for this increase was higher commissions from brokerage services.

The result on financial instruments measured at fair value through profit or loss amounted to PLN 47.3 million (EUR 10.2 mln), compared to PLN 39.7 million (EUR 8.5 mln) in the same period last year.

The bank and group comply with current capital requirements-the Tier 1 capital ratio stands at 14.45 percent, and the total capital ratio is 17.47 percent.
