Creepy Jar gaming wants to achieve content complete for StarRupture by end-June

Listed video games developer Creepy Jar wants to achieve content complete for StarRupture by the end of June and in the third quarter of 2025, it wants to make the final touches and play tests of the title, company representatives told a video conference.

"We want to close the so-called content complete by the end of June, that is, to have a game that is whole, has all features, everything is playable, everything works," Creepy Jar's CEO Krzysztof Kwiatek said.

"Some of these things are already in the process of being polished and the last features, which some time ago were still, let's say, changing more or were added, are simply closed. Later on, we want to make time in the third quarter to bring the game to a state of being ready for release," he added.

The planned release of StarRupture will be after the third quarter of 2025.

"We're thinking, we're watching and somewhere we're looking towards that potential window to release the game after the third quarter. Also, this is (...) what we are looking forward to in the coming months," Kwiatek said.

"How do we assess the progress of the work so far and how do we see it for this coming time? (...) in our opinion, everything is going very well," he added.

Creepy Jar will be releasing more videos on StarRupture and wants to do play testing in the third quarter.

"As early as possible before the launch we want to have material that we can share as widely as possible with as many influencers as we can get, so that this whole launch is already heavily supported by a deluge of content on StarRupture, (...) but it's important to keep it all up for the next few weeks, because it's going to drive visibility and sales all the time," the CEO said.

"Playtesting has to happen and we want it very much," he added.

Company representatives said they want at least one play test to take place in the third quarter

They added that they did not see any risk associated with StarRupture's release.

"To be honest, we don't see any risks at this point in terms of the launch. On the other hand, we have in our minds the risks that are always there, which are the ones related to technology, performance and multiplayer," Kwiatek said.

"Also, this is something that generates bugs all the time and will generate bugs and (...) these are always standard risks," he added.

Creepy Jar does not expect a delay in StarRupture's release after play testing.

"We don't expect it as we don't do these play tests to create new features and rebuild this game, because we kind of have clarity here over all these years of production," he said.

"If we get some feedback like gameplay, here are also things that in our model we can do later after early access, right? So that's also the idea of early access, to collect feedback about the game and possibly address it in later patches," he added.

Creepy Jar's revenue in 2024 was PLN 31 million (EUR 7.25 mln) against PLN 37.5 million (EUR 8.8 mln) in 2023, down 17 percent year on year.

The company's last year's profit was PLN 15.9 million (EUR 3.7 mln) versus PLN 18.3 million (EUR 4.3 mln) in 2023, and EBIT was PLN 13.9 million (EUR 3.25 mln) against PLN 15.8 million (EUR 3.7 mln) in the previous year.
