EBRD to invest up to EUR 30 mln in R.Power's green bond issue

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development will invest up to EUR 30 million in the Polish photovoltaic company R.Power's green bonds issue, the EBRD said in a statement.


"The EBRD will invest up to PLN 127.8 million (EUR 30 million) in R.Power S.A.'s green bond issue of PLN 530 million (EUR 25 million)," the bank said in the statement.

The EBRD said that the proceeds from the bond issue will be used to finance and refinance capital expenditures for the development, construction and operation of photovoltaic, wind, battery storage projects on a stand-alone and hybrid basis.

In particular, R.Power has committed to invest the equivalent of the EBRD's funds in battery energy storage projects in the countries where the Bank operates.
