Energa Group estimates Q4 net profit at PLN 48 mln

Poland's largest energy concern Orlen's subsidiary power utility Energa Group estimates net profit in the fourth quarter of 2024 at PLN 48 million (EUR 11.6 mln), compared to a PLN 1.013 billion (EUR 244.4 mln) net loss in the same period in 2023, the company said in a market filing. The group's estimated EBITDA amounted to PLN 600 million (EUR 144.8 mln), compared to a PLN 473 million (EUR 114.1 mln) loss a year earlier.


As stated, for Energa group's EBITDA result in the fourth quarter of 2024, the Distribution Business Line generated PLN 548 million (EUR 132.3 mln), the Generation Business Line generated PLN 193 million (EUR 46.6 mln), while the Sales Business Line generated a loss of PLN 73 million (EUR 17.6 mln).

Energa Group's estimated revenue in the fourth quarter was PLN 5.923 billion (EUR 1.43 bln), up from PLN 6.598 billion (EUR 1.59 bln) a year earlier.

The group's fourth quarter operating profit was estimated at PLN 253 million (EUR 61 mln), compared to a PLN 792 million (EUR 191 mln) loss in the same period in 2023.

In addition, the group estimates that capital expenditure in the fourth quarter amounted to PLN 2.005 billion (EUR 483.8 mln), compared to PLN 1.519 billion (EUR 366.5 mln) a year earlier.

Electricity distribution was 5,810 GWh, compared to 5,801 GWh in the fourth quarter of 2023, and gross electricity generation was 692 GWh, compared to 971 GWh a year earlier.

In addition, it was reported that retail electricity sales amounted to 4,382 GWh in the fouth quarter, compared to 4,571 GWh in the same period last year.
