Gas-System's gas transmission in 2025 will be 20.7 bcm, 22.5 bcm in 2026
Poland's gas infrastructure operator Gaz-System's gas transmission in 2025 will amount to 20.7 billion cubic metres, in 2026 it will increase to 22.5 billion cubic metres, the company reported.
The forecast of demand for transmission service in 2025-2040 was developed based on:
1. reporting data from Gaz-System and capacity allocations to the transmission agreement.
2. issued conditions for connection to the transmission network and signed agreements for connection to the transmission network for current and potential consumers of gaseous fuels.
3. analysis of market potential on the basis of data from the National Balancing and Emissions Management Centre (KOBiZE).
The forecast was prepared in two variants differentiated in terms of newly connected power plants:
1. the Baseline variant - based on current commitments,
2. the Energy+ variant - augmented from 2030 with additional customers.
The projections for 2025 and 2026 of both options are identical.
The transmission peak will be in 2031 where 27.2-28.6 billion cubic metres of gas will be transported via pipelines.
In 2040, transmission will be 26.1-26.5 billion cubic metres of gas.
