Gaz-System completes construction of Oswiecim - Tworzen gas pipeline

Poland's gas infrastructure operator Gaz-System has completed the construction of the Oswiecim - Tworzen gas pipeline and commissioned a 44-kilometre-long gas pipeline with a diameter of 700 millimetres, connecting the towns of Oswiecim and Slawkow, the company said in a press release. The transmission infrastructure was built as part of the 'Coal to gas' investment programme.


As stated, the investment is intended to increase access to natural gas in the Silesia and Lesser Poland regions.

Among the first beneficiaries of this investment is Synthos Dwory in Oswiecim, which has already started receiving natural gas for its steam-gas units.
