JSW coal authorises redemption of approx. PLN 200 mln investment certificates

The supervisory board of listed coking coal producer JSW has granted permission for the redemption of JSW stabilisation closed investment fund series D certificates with a total estimated amount of approximately PLN 200 million (EUR 47.94 mln), JSW stated in a market filing.


Following the redemption of the investment certificates, the value of the investment in the closed investment fund's asset portfolio according to the valuation as of December 31, 2024, after the redemption date is estimated to be approximately PLN 2.7 billion (EUR 647.2 mln).

"The funds obtained from the redemption of the closed investment fund certificates will be used both for the purposes of the company's current operations and for the implementation of investment activities," JSW wrote.

The group reiterated that, in accordance with the provisions of the syndicated Sustainability-linked loan financing agreement, it will not recommend the payment of any dividends or distributions unless JSW has not made any distributions from the closed investment fund in the 12 months preceding such recommendation.
