JSW miner's coal production at 3.34 mln tonnes in Q2, up 16.4 pct y/y

Listed coking coal group JSW Group's total coal production in the second quarter of 2025 reached 3.34 million tonnes, up 16.4 percent year on year and down by approximately 16.7 percent quarter on quarter, the company said in a market filing.


The production of coking coal stood at 2.82 million tonnes, up by approximately 21.4 percent quarter on quarter and up by 22.0 percent year on year.

Thermal coal production was about 0.52 million tonnes, down by approximately 3.4 percent quarter on quarter and 6.7 percent year on year.

Total coal sales amounted to 3.0 million tonnes, a decrease of 0.2 percent quarter on quarter and an increase of 15.0 percent year on year.

Coking coal sales amounted to about 2.62 million tonnes, up by 5.0 percent quarter on quarter and by 15.2 percent year on year.

Total coking coal production in the second quarter of 2025 amounted to 0.71 million tonnes, up by approximately 0.5 percent quarter on quarter and down by approximately 2.9 percent year on year.

Total coking coal sales amounted to 0.74 million tonnes, down by approximately 0.5 percent quarter on quarter and by approximately 3.1 percent year on year.
