"We maintained very high revenue growth from key telecommunications services at 6.8 percent y/y. Revenues from these high-margin services, which are a key element in generating profits, contributed to a strong 4.3 percent y/y increase in EBITDAaL in the second quarter," said Jacek Kunicki, Orange Polska's CFO, quoted in the report.

"EBITDAaL was also positively affected by the recognition of an additional margin on the construction of a network for Swiatlowod Inwestycje, which was made possible by the imminent completion of the current contract and the signing of a new investment plan, which provides for coverage of an additional 0.7 million households," he added.

He also pointed out that Orange is maintaining all its forecasts for 2025. These indicated low single-digit growth in revenue and EBITDAal, as well as eCapex (economic capital expenditure) in the range of PLN 1.8-1.9 billion (EUR 422.4 - 445.9 mln).

"In the second half of the year, we will focus on maintaining good commercial momentum by preparing a number of attractive offers for customers for the upcoming peak sales periods. We are working on gradually restoring growth in the business market," added Orange Polska CEO Liudmila Climoc.

"We see better prospects for the second half of the year in IT and integration services; we are also well prepared to take advantage of opportunities in this area resulting from future growth in defence industry spending," she said.
