Orange Polska SAOrange telco posts PLN 867 mln EBITDAaL in Q3, does not change full-year forecasts
Listed telecom operator Orange Polska posted PLN 867 million (EUR 200.02 mln) EBITDA after lease in the third quarter of 2024, above expectations for PLN 847.2 million (EUR 195.4 mln) and up by 3.1 percent year on year. The company has not changed its full-year 2024 forecasts from July, it said in a press release.
Counting from the beginning of 2024, Orange Polska's EBITDAaL is PLN 2.52 billion (EUR 581.4 mln), 3.9 percent higher than a year ago.
The group's revenue in the third quarter was PLN 3.1 billion (EUR 715.2 million), 0.5 percent lower than analysts' expectations. On a year-to-date basis, revenues amounted to PLN 9.31 billion (EUR 2.1 bln) and were down year on year by 1.8 percent.
EBIT in the third quarter was PLN 370 million (EUR 85.4 mln), while the market estimated it at PLN 368.1 million (EUR 84.9 mln). YTD, Orange Polska's EBIT was PLN 1.08 billion (EUR 249.2 mln), down 3 percent year on year.
Orange Polska's net profit in the third quarter reached PLN 254 million (EUR 58.6 mln), while the PAP Biznes consensus was for PLN 239.6 million (EUR 55.3 mln). YTD 2024, the group's net profit is PLN 712 million (EUR 164.3 mln), 4.6 percent lower than a year ago.
Orange Polska did not change its full-year forecasts presented in July on the occasion of the publication of the report after the first half of the year.
On July 23, the group updated its revenue and EBITDAaL forecasts. The group expects revenue to remain at a similar level to last year or to decrease by a low single-digit percentage compared to the previous forecast of low single-digit percentage growth and low to mid-single-digit percentage growth in EBITDAaL compared to the low single-digit growth forecast previously.
The eCapex (economic capital expenditure) forecast is PLN 1.7-1.9 billion (EUR 392.2-438.3 million).
