Poland to allocate over PLN 700 mln to support distressed companies through industrial development agency ARP
Polish government will transfer over PLN 700 million (EUR 164.2 mln) to Poland's industrial development agency ARP; the funds will be used, among others, to support the financially distressed enterprises, including listed engineering company Rafako and heavy engineering company Rafamet, Poland's Prime Minister Donald Tusk announced before Tuesday's cabinet meeting.
"I have decided to transfer more than PLN 700 million to Poland's industrial development agency ARP, this money will be used, among other things, to help the two Raciborz-based companies. Of course, in case of Rafako, it is about restarting production; we will define what is possible. And we will provide the means to make this a reality, through the Poland's industrial development agency ARP," Tusk said.
"And Rafamet, the second company which is today at the disposal of Poland's industrial development agency ARP, will also receive assistance, which should enable not only the survival but also the development of this company," he added.
