Poland's energy market regulator sets RES fee rate at PLN 3.50/MWh in 2025
Poland's energy market regulator URE has decided that from January 1, 2025, the RES fee rate will be PLN 3.50 (EUR 0.81) per MWh, the regulator said in a statement.
URE said that the RES fee is one of the items on the electricity bill listed in the distribution section. It has been in force since July 2016 under the provisions of the renewable energy sources act adopted a year earlier.
In the future, the fee will also support the generation of energy in offshore wind farms and the generation of biomethane in renewable energy installations fed into the gas grid. It will also be a source of funds for operational support schemes planned to be launched for existing RES installations.
