STS Holding SAPoland's finance minister imposes PLN 2.95 mln administrative fine on STS bookmaker
Polish Finance Minister has imposed an administrative penalty of PLN 2.95 million (EUR 692,955) on the bookmaking company STS for failing to comply with its obligations under the Act on prevention of money laundering and financing terrorism, the ministry announced.
As stated, the penalty was imposed due to the failure to comply with the obligations under the Act on prevention of money laundering and financing terrorism.
These are the appointment of a person responsible for carrying out the duties set out in the Act, the preparation of a risk assessment, the application of financial security measures, the introduction of an internal procedure for the obliged institution and the transmission of a notification to the General Inspector of Financial Information.
According to the Ministry of Finance, a complaint was filed with the Provincial Administrative Court and the court dismissed the company's complaint.
The verdict is not final. In addition, the company has filed a cassation appeal - the case is pending.
