Poland's funeral benefit increase gets green light from Council of Ministers standing committee

The draft on increasing the Polish funeral benefit from PLN 4,000 (EUR ) to PLN 7,000 (EUR ) got green-lighted by the Council of Ministers standing committee, the chief of the governments legislation centre informed on X.


The committee recommends that the amount of the benefit be revaluated when compounded inflation since the last benefit calculation exceeds 5 percent.

Before the draft went before the committee the project envisaged a possibility of annual valorisation of the benefit's amount carried out by the Polish Institute for Labour and Social Affairs.
