Poland's hard coal share in energy output down to 35.16 pct in July - grid operator
In July 2025, the percentage share of hard coal in Poland's total power generation decreased to 35.16 percent from 37.39 percent in the prior year period, according to data by Poland's grid operator PSE.
Lignite-based power plants supplied 22.46 percent of total generation in July, down from 23.56 percent in the prior year period.
Gas-fired power plants supplied 11.16 percent of energy against 9.73 percent recorded a year ago.
Wind power plants supplied 10.49 percent of energy, up from 9.21 percent in July 2024.
Hydropower plants provided 1.65 percent of energy against 1.39 percent in the prior year period.
Renewable sources other than hydro and wind provided 19.08 percent of all energy in July this year, up from 18.71 percent in the prior year period.
