Polenergia SAPolenergia creates write-off; impact on group's result to amount to around PLN 92 mln in 2025
Listed renewables group Polenergia has decided to create a write-off on the value of assets in relation to the following companies: Polenergia Fotowoltaika in the amount of approximately PLN 71 million (EUR 16.6 mln) and Polenergia H2HUB Nowa Sarzyna in the amount of approximately PLN 21 million (EUR 4.9 mln). Its estimated impact on the consolidated gross result for 2025 is approximately PLN 92 million (EUR 21.5 mln), the company said in a statement.
"With regard to Polenergia Fotowoltaika S.A., the decision is a consequence of the market situation of the prosumer market and the prospects for further development of the industry, resulting in a clear failure to meet the company's sales targets in the second quarter of 2025. Recently, there has been a significant slowdown in the market for prosumer solutions, which has significantly reduced the profitability of the business," the announcement said.
In the case of Polenergia H2HUB Nowa Sarzyna sp. z o.o., it was announced that the decision is related to the ongoing review of strategic options in the area of hydrogen activities and results from the current assessment of the growth of the green hydrogen market and the investment risk profile of the project.
The write-off is non-cash. The company stated that its amount is estimated and may be subject to change.
