Polimex Mostostal builder derives sense of security from high backlog level

Listed builder Polimex Mostostal's current backlog of PLN 7.87 billion (EUR 1.86 bln), as of end-September, gives the group a sense of security, CEO Jakub Stypula told a video conference following the release of Polimex's quarterly report.

"We are confident about our backlog. We are pleased that it is so high, as it gives us a sense of security and stability, (...) and allows us to make reasonable and safe offers," CEO Stypula said.

"We are deeply convinced that this is not our last word, but at the next presentations we will be able to show you something more," he added.

In its quarterly report published on Monday, the company announced that its backlog at the end of September 2025, less sales attributable to consortium members, amounted to PLN 7.87 billion (EUR 1.86 bln), including contracts concluded or projects offered for which the company's bid had been selected.

In turn, the group's CEO and COO Miroslaw Soltysiak indicated that Polimex is interested in tender procedures of listed power utility PGE.

"In the context of the procurement procedures conducted by the giants of our energy sector (...), we have made no secret of our interest in PGE's projects," Soltysiak said.

He added that the company is also interested in PGE's project in Gryfino.

In the third quarter of 2025, Polimex Mostostal posted an attributable net profit of PLN 35.4 million (EUR 8.4 mln) against a net loss of PLN 267.4 million (EUR 63.2 mln) in the prior year period, the company's quarterly report has shown.

Revenues in the third quarter of 2025 rose from PLN 491.9 million (EUR 116.3 mln) recorded last year to approximately PLN 1.1 billion (EUR 260 mln).

The group's operating profit amounted to PLN 44.7 million (EUR 10.6 mln) against an EBIT loss of PLN 313.1 million (EUR 74 mln) in the prior year period.
