Polimex Mostostal SAPolimex Mostostal builder plans foreign expansion, aims for development in German market
Listed builder Polimex Mostostal does not rule out acquisitions; its strategy until 2033 also assumes selective foreign expansion, the company's management board representatives announced at a press conference on Tuesday. The markets in which it wants to develop include Germany and the Scandinavian countries.
"The implementation of the plan should give us the basis to build credibility and grow together with our business partners outside our country, especially in the petrochemical market, where we have long-standing relationships and are expanding the value chain," CEO Jakub Stypula told the conference.
"We want to provide our existing customers with comprehensive general contracting or appointed general subcontracting services," he added.
The group's strategy assumes selective foreign expansion. One of the geographical directions of development in the energy segment considered by the group is Germany.
"In Poland, we are slowly specialising in the construction of power plants and gas-fired CHP plants, and our neighbours are planning to build about eighty 20 GW of gas-fired or peak gas-fired power plants, so for us, this is a market where we will definitely want to develop. The same applies to the Scandinavian countries," the CEO said.
"In the case of the oil, chemicals and gas segment, we are assuming geographical diversification and expansion of the value chain in the markets where we currently operate," he added.
Polimex Mostostal's strategy for 2026-2028 assumes operating revenues of over PLN 10 billion (EUR 2.4 bln) and EBIT margin of over 4.0 percent. Dividend payments are being considered for subsequent years.
As stated, Polimex Mostostal's strategy for 2026–2033 assumes further strengthening of its position in key segments: energy, petrochemicals, industrial construction and infrastructure, while simultaneously developing the production segment.
When asked about acquisition opportunities during the strategy implementation period, CEO Stypula replied that the group is open to acquisitions.
"We are open to acquisitions and are researching the market. This research is extensive. We see significant needs in engineering and design work, as well as energy, understood as electrical engineering," he said.
