Polish customers buy 251k tonnes of cosmetics for over PLN 18 bln in August 2024–July 2025
Between August 2024 and July 2025, buyers purchased 251,000 tonnes of cosmetics in Poland for over PLN 18 billion (EUR 4.2 bln), according to an analysis by YouGov researcher. This represents a year-on-year increase of 4 percent in volume and 7 percent in value.
Of all sales channels, drugstores were the only ones to attract more cosmetics buyers than in the previous year. In the analysed period, 82 percent of Polish households purchased at least one cosmetic product there.
"The increase in purchases at drugstores was due to both the acquisition of new buyers and the greater frequency and volume of purchases made during a single visit. It is also worth noting the growing importance of the online channel, which grew by 17 percent in the analysed period," said the head of local and regional customers department at YouGov Agnieszka Gorecka, quoted in the report.
