Polish govt. adopts draft law on promoting offshore-generated energy, says climate minister
Poland's government has adopted the draft law by Ministry of Climate and Environment (MKiS) which will create new jobs in a new sector of the Polish economy and accelerate investments in offshore wind energy in the Baltic Sea, climate minister Paulina Hennig-Kloska announced on X.
"New jobs in a new sector of the Polish economy, faster investments in offshore wind energy in the Baltic Sea, and the establishment of the first new national park in Poland in 24 years! These will be the effects of two draft bills from the Ministry of Climate and Environment, which have just been adopted by the Council of Ministers," Hennig-Kloska wrote on X.
"It also provides an opportunity to create Accelerated Renewable Energy Development Areas and better protect the beautiful areas of Miedzyodrze," she added.
On Wednesday, the government considered a draft bill amending the act on promoting electricity generation in offshore wind farms.
