PZU SAPZU insurer gains over PLN 200 mln on 49 projects implemented in cooperation with start-ups
Listed insurance group PZU has implemented 49 innovative projects to date as part of its programme of cooperation with start-ups and is planning further ventures, the insurer said in a press release. Thanks to the programme, PZU has gained more than PLN 200 million (EUR 47.9 mln) in cumulative benefits.
PZU has summarised the effects of its cooperation with start-ups to date in the report "PZU Ready for Startups. How does CEE's largest insurer work with start-ups?"
Over a period of seven years, PZU experts analysed more than 7,000 ideas for new solutions in the PZU Group. 5 percent of them, or about 350, were subjected to detailed verification, including business validation and legal and technological feasibility. 77 solutions underwent piloting, of which 49 were submitted for implementation at PZU.
"We analyse more than a thousand innovation ideas and solutions offered by start-ups every year at PZU. (...) It allows start-ups to develop, which often need support in adapting to business needs and in scaling up the proposed solutions," said PZU's management board member responsible for, among others, digitisation, CRM and innovation, Jan Zimowicz.
"What is important in these processes is the experience of a partner who knows the market very well and has a large scale," he added.
