Santander BP lender may potentially pay out PLN 4.74 bln in dividends in 2025

Listed lender Santander BP has received information from Poland's financial market regulator KNF on the possibility of the bank also paying out in 2025 the amount of PLN 840.9 million (EUR 201.3 mln) coming from dividend capital. The total amount possible for the bank to pay out to shareholders this year is PLN 4.74 billion (EUR 1.13 bln), the bank said in a market filing.


The bank said that the amount coming from the dividend capital was transferred on the basis of the ordinary general meeting's resolution of April 19, 2023, on the distribution of profit and the decision regarding the reserve capital created on the basis of the OGM's resolution of March 22, 2021.

In March, the bank reported that it had received an individual recommendation from Poland's financial market regulator KNF which, after taking into account the good quality of the company's loan portfolio, concluded that Santander BP had met the requirements to pay a dividend of 75 percent of its 2024 profit.
