Tauron PE SATauron posts PLN 844 mln Q3 net profit, above estimates
Listed power utility Tauron had PLN 844 million (EUR 199.5 mln) net profit in the third quarter of 2025, the company said in its financial report.
Tauron reported EBITDA of PLN 1.918 billion (EUR 453.4 mln). Tauron had earlier estimated net profit at PLN 794 million (EUR 187.7 mln), while the EBITDA result came in line with the company's forecast.
EBITDA of the Tauron Dystrybucja (distribution) segment amounted to PLN 1.324 billion (EUR 312.9 mln), EBITDA of the RES segment was PLN 101 million (EUR 23.9 mln), EBITDA of the Wytwarzanie (generation) segment was PLN 233 million (EUR 55.1 mln), EBITDA of the Sales segment amounted to PLN 196 million (EUR 46.3 mln), while EBITDA loss of Cieplo (heating segment) reached PLN 8 million (EUR 2 mln). All segment results were in line with Tauron's earlier estimates.
The company generated PLN 7.616 billion (EUR 1.8 bln) in revenue in the third quarter, lower than the previously estimated PLN 7.819 billion (EUR 1.8 bln).
Operating profit came in at PLN 1.266 billion (EUR 299.3 mln), matching the estimate.
The company is also building three additional onshore wind farms with a combined capacity of 234 MW: Miejska Gorka (190.8 MW), Sieradz (23.8 MW) and Nowa Brzeznica (19.6 MW).
In addition, Tauron is developing two photovoltaic farms with a total capacity of 144 MW: Postomino (90 MW) and Balkow (54 MW).
EBITDA for the first nine months of 2025 amounted to PLN 6.142 billion (EUR 1.5 bln), representing a 23 percent year on year increase.
