Tauron power estimates nearly PLN 1.46 bln in EBITDA in Q4 2024

Listed power group Tauron estimates that it had recorded an EBITDA of PLN 1.457 billion (EUR 348.2 mln) in the fourth quarter of 2024 and net profit reached PLN 467 million (EUR 111.6 mln), the company said in a market filing. The estimate is above market expectations.


According to estimates, revenues amounted to PLN 9.47 billion (EUR 2.26 bln) in the fourth quarter.

EBITDA of the Tauron Dystrybucja (distribution) segment was PLN 864 million (EUR 206.5 mln), EBITDA of the RES segment was PLN 190 million (EUR 45.4 mln), EBITDA of the Wytwarzanie (generation) segment was PLN 437 million (EUR 104.4 mln), EBITDA profit of Cieplo (heating segment) reached PLN 78 million (EUR 18.6 mln) and EBITDA loss of the Sales segment amounted to PLN 109 million (EUR 26.05 mln).

The estimated operational profit of the Tauron group reached PLN 939 million (EUR 224.4 mln) in the fourth quarter, and gross profit amounted to PLN 748 million (EUR 178.8 mln).

According to estimates, throughout last year the Tauron group generated consolidated sales revenues of PLN 35.4 billion (EUR 8.5 bln) and an EBITDA result of PLN 6.47 billion (EUR 1.55 bln), with an EBITDA margin of 18.3 percent.

In 2024, EBITDA of the Tauron Dystrybucja (distribution) segment was PLN 3.963 billion (EUR 947 mln), EBITDA of the RES segment was PLN 684 million (EUR 163.5 mln), EBITDA of the Wytwarzanie (generation) segment was PLN 746 million (EUR 178.3 mln), EBITDA profit of Cieplo (heating segment) reached PLN 301 million (EUR 72 mln) and EBITDA of the Sales segment amounted to PLN 598 million (EUR 142.9 mln).
