Tauron power posts Q1 EBITDA of PLN 2.331 bln, in line with estimates

Power group Tauron posted first quarter 2025 EBITDA of PLN 2.331 billion (EUR 549.6 mln) and net profit of PLN 1.131 billion (EUR 266.7 mln), Tauron said in its quarterly report. The first quarter results were in line with the company's earlier estimates.


Tauron's CEO Grzegorz Lot said that the group is intensively implementing its new strategy.

"On the one hand, this means working on new products and services - so that they best meet the needs of our 6 million customers. On the other hand, transforming the operations of the entire Group, which will allow Tauron to be completely climate-neutral as early as 2040," said the CEO.

"The key to achieving this goal is, of course, the construction of new generation capacity in the RES segment. We already have renewable capacity of close to 900 MW. We have wind and photovoltaic farms under construction with a total capacity of almost 400 MW. Our achievement of 1 GW of installed renewable capacity is already very close," he added.
