CD Projekt SAUPDATE: CD Projekt posts net profit of PLN 69 mln in Q2, above expectations
Listed video games producer CD Projekt had a net profit of PLN 69.0 million (EUR 16.2 mln) in the second quarter of 2025, the company said in its quarterly report.The PAP consensus assumed a net profit of PLN 64.1 million (EUR 15.01 mln).
The company's net profit in the second quarter of 2025 fell by 1.3 percent year on year and by 19.8 percent quarter on quarter.
Furthermore, according to PAP Biznes calculations, revenues in the second quarter amounted to PLN 216.7 million (EUR 50.8 mln) and were 5.5 percent higher than the consensus of PLN 205.5 million (EUR 48.1 mln). They increased by 9.4 percent year on year and decreased by 4.2 percent quarter on quarter.
EBIT amounted to PLN 72.4 million (EUR 16.9 mln), compared to the consensus of PLN 57.2 million (EUR 13.4 mln). EBIT increased by 22.9 percent year on year and decreased by 24.3 percent compared to the previous quarter.
In the first half of 2025, the consolidated sales revenue of the CD Projekt group reached PLN 443 million (EUR 103.8 million), and net profit amounted to PLN 155 million (EUR 36.3 million).
"Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition was released on the Nintendo Switch 2 console on the day of its global premiere and remains one of the best-selling third-party games. In mid-July, the game debuted on Mac computers equipped with Apple Silicon processors," said Michal Nowakowski, Joint CEO of CD Projekt, quoted in a press release.
"Cyberpunk 2077 and its expansion, Phantom Liberty, continue to account for the majority of the group's revenue," said Piotr Nielubowicz, CFO of the game developer.
He added that the company is also steadily increasing its investments in future projects.
"Our spending on development work related to new productions in the first half of the year exceeded PLN 240 million," Nielubowicz pointed out.
