UPDATE: Orlen plans to increase its share in Energa to 100 pct; offers PLN 18.87 per share

Poland's largest energy concern Orlen intends to invite all shareholders of power utility Energa to submit offers to sell shares. The proposed price is PLN 18.87 (EUR 4.46) per share, Orlen said in a market filing. The company plans to increase its share in Energa to 100 percent.


The invitation concerns a total of 37.58 mln shares, which together with the shares of Energa held by Orlen constitute 100 percent of all shares of Energa.

The acceptance of sale offers will begin on December 1, and the process is expected to be completed on December 17, 2025.

Orlen may also acquire Energa's shares on the regulated market, including block transactions, or outside of the regulated market, starting from November 27.

Energa is a listed power utility company in which Orlen holds a 90.92 percent stake and 93.28 percent of voting rights.

At the close of Wednesday trading, the share price of Energa stood at PLN 16.9.
