WP media posts PLN 44.9 mln attrib. net profit in Q4 2024

The attributable net profit of listed online media group Wirtualna Polska Holding increased by 14.3 percent year on year to PLN 44.9 million (EUR 10.8 mln) in the fourth quarter of 2024, the company wrote in its financial report. The PAP Biznes consensus was for PLN 39.9 million (EUR 9.6 mln) of attributable net profit.


Wirtualna Polska Holding increased revenues by 10.7 percent to PLN 400.2 million (EUR 96 mln) in the fourth quarter. The PAP Biznes consensus was for revenue of PLN 387.4 million (EUR 92.9 mln).

The company's adjusted EBITDA increased 16.7 percent to PLN 131.9 million (EUR 31.6 mln) against market expectations for a PLN 122.4 million (EUR 29.4 mln) adjusted EBITDA.

In the advertising and subscriptions segment, cash revenues increased by 6 percent year on year to PLN 215.7 million (EUR 51.7 mln), thanks to a gradual improvement in the growth rate of advertising revenues, as well as an apparent increase in subscription revenues.

The segment's adjusted EBITDA increased by 11 percent year on year to PLN 99.5 million (EUR 23.9 mln).

For the full year 2024, sales revenue was PLN 1.568 billion (EUR 376 mln), up 9.2 percent year on year. Cash revenue from sales increased by 9.4 percent year on year to PLN 1.541 billion (EUR 369.5 mln).

Adjusted EBITDA in 2024 was PLN 468.2 million (EUR 112.3 mln), up 6.7 percent year on year. EBITDA in the period was adjusted by PLN 29.5 million (EUR 7 mln), i.e. including the impact of one-off costs related to employment restructuring and transaction processes.

Net profit attributable to equity holders of the parent company amounted to PLN 155.9 million (EUR 37.4 mln) in 2024, compared to PLN 155.8 million (EUR 37.4 mln) a year ago.

Cash flow from operations in 2024 decreased by 2 percent year on year to PLN 377.8 million (EUR 90.6 mln).

Net debt to adjusted EBITDA ratio at the end of 2024 was 1.0x. According to the company, after taking into account the planned acquisition of 100 percent of Invia Group, announced in December 2024, this ratio would be equivalent to a pro forma 2.4x.
