Poland's state development bank BGK has granted PLN 248.502 billion (EUR 58.2 bln) in guarantees under the state programme of de minimis credit guarantees by the end of May 2025, up by PLN 2.94 billion (EUR 688 mln) from PLN 245.560 billion (EUR 57.5 bln) at end-April, BGK's data showed.
The guarantees translated into PLN 387.142 billion (EUR 90.6 bln) loans issued to companies.
As BGK reported, 301,615 companies have taken out loans within the programme since its launch in March 2013.
The 'de minimis' programme is aimed at providing co-guarantees for loans for small- and medium-sized enterprises, taking some of the risk burden away from the commercial banks. It has been operating since 2013.
