Poland with 149.9 million tonnes of CO2 emitted in 2024, down 2.6 pct y/y
The volume of CO2 emissions in Poland in 2024 fell by 2.6 percent year on year to 149.9 million tonnes, the emission management authority KOBiZE said in a report.
These are the emissions data covered by the EU ETS together with the aviation sector.
KOBIZE reports that increases in emissions in 2024 were recorded in ten sectors, the largest being the aircraft operators (up 26.5 percent), mineral industry (up 26.5 percent) and iron and steel (up 21 percent).
The emission decreases in 2024 were recorded in nine ETS sectors, with the largest decreases in wood-based industries (down 42 percent).
