Poland adopts macro assumptions for 2026 budget, average CPI at 3 pct
Poland's government forecasts that Poland's GDP growth in 2026 will be 3.5 percent and average annual CPI inflation will reach 3.0 percent, according to the assumptions for the draft state budget for 2026, adopted by the Cabinet.
According to the government's assumptions, Poland's GDP will grow by 3.5 percent in 2026, and the average annual growth of consumer prices will reach the level of 3.0 percent.
The inflation forecast for 2026 was lowered compared than the figures anticipated in April when the Ministry of Finance assumed that Poland's GDP growth in 2026 would be 3.5 percent, and the average annual CPI inflation would be 3.8 percent.
According to the assumptions adopted on Thursday, nominal average gross wages in the national economy in 2026 will increase by 6.7 percent, and nominal average gross wages in the enterprise sector by 6.9 percent.
According to the government's projections, the registered unemployment rate at the end of 2026 will be 4.9 percent and the average employment in the state budget sphere will be around 618,900 FTEs.
