Poland awards 43 pct of Poland's national recovery plan KPO grants
To date, Poland has contracted over PLN 75 billion (EUR 18 bln) from EU funds under Poland's national recovery plan KPO, including almost PLN 48 billion (EUR 11.5 bln) in grants, which accounts for 43 percent of the allocation of this part of the KPO, a representative of Poland's Ministry of Development Funds and Regional Policy informed the parliamentary subcommittee.
In July, the ministry is counting on the disbursement of the 4th and 5th tranches of the KPO, amounting to approximately EUR 7 billion.
"So far, we have contracted agreements for more than PLN 75 billion, including almost PLN 48 billion in the grant part, which accounts for 43 percent of the allocation of this part of the KPO," Monika Dolowiec, director of the KPO coordination department at the development funds ministry, told the subcommittee on the use of European Union funds.
She reported that a revision of the KPO is currently underway directly relating to the third payment request for the 4th and 5th tranches of the KPO submitted in December, with an additional area of revision being the reallocation of PLN 30 billion (EUR 7.2 bln) of loans from the Green Urban Transformation Facility to a new security and defence fund within the KPO.
"This will be an additional area of this revision. The timetable for the revision is that the expected EC decision is April and the EU Council decision is mid-May," Dolowiec said.
She recalled that in the middle of the year, the development funds ministry will attempt the last major revision of the KPO.
She pointed out that the cut-off date for the disbursement of KPO grants is August 31, 2026.
