Poland to prepare strategy to combat informal economy, appoints team to develop it
The government will prepare a strategy to combat the informal economy by appointing a team to develop it, the legislation database Monitor Polski reported.
The Monitor Polski database published an order of the Prime Minister concerning the Inter-Ministerial Team for Counteracting the Informal Economy.
As stated in the ordinance, the tasks will include: "the preparation of a draft strategy and action plan for the government administration aimed at counteracting such economic activity which is, in particular for the purposes of levying public taxes or using public funds, intentionally or unintentionally, concealed from measurement, hereinafter referred to as the “informal economy.”
The team is to develop recommendations for action to counter the informal economy.
The team will be chaired by a secretary of state or undersecretary of state in the office serving the minister responsible for public finance, appointed by the minister responsible for public finance.
