Poland signs contracts for 36.8 pct of EU 2021-2027 funds by February 9 - funds ministry
By February 9, 12,263 contracts had been signed for EU funding for projects that will use 36.8 percent of the available EU cohesion policy funds for 2021-2027, Poland's Ministry of Development Funds and Regional Policy (MFiPR) reported on its website.
"12,263 project co-financing agreements were signed with beneficiaries, with eligible expenditure of PLN 147 billion, including PLN 116 billion of EU co-financing, representing 36.8 percent of the available allocation of EU funds," the ministry wrote.
MFiPR added that by February 9, under national and regional programmes, potential beneficiaries had submitted 50,084 applications for projects with a total value of PLN 396.1 billion (EUR 94.6 bln), of which the requested EU co-financing amounted to PLN 305.7 billion (EUR 73 bln).
