Poland signs contracts for 42.6 pct of EU 2021-2027 funds by June 1 - dev. funds ministry
By June 1,16,013 agreements had been signed for EU funding for projects that will use 42.6 percent of the available EU cohesion policy funds earmarked for 2021-2027, Poland's Ministry of Development Funds and Regional Policy (MFiPR) reported on its website.
"16,013 project co-financing agreements were signed with beneficiaries, with eligible expenditure of PLN 172.5 billion, including PLN 135.5 billion of EU co-financing, representing 42.6 percent of the of EU funds' available allocation," the ministry wrote.
MFiPR added that by June 1, under national and regional programmes, potential beneficiaries had submitted 55,673 applications for projects with a total value of PLN 437.2 billion (EUR 102.7 bln), of which the requested EU co-financing amounted to PLN 337.7 billion (EUR 79.3 bln).
