Poland signs contracts for 50.2 pct of EU 2021-2027 funds by September 5 - dev. funds ministry
By September 5, 19,446 agreements had been signed for EU funding for projects that will use 52.2 percent of the available EU cohesion policy funds earmarked for 2021-2027, Poland's Ministry of Development Funds and Regional Policy (MFiPR) reported on its website.
"19,446 project co-financing agreements have been signed with beneficiaries, with eligible expenditure of PLN 206.0 billion, including PLN 160.5 billion of EU co-financing, representing 52.2 percent of the of EU funds' available allocation," the ministry wrote.
MFiPR added that by September 7, under national and regional programmes, potential beneficiaries had submitted 61,460 applications for projects with a total value of PLN 490.8 billion (EUR 115.5 bln), of which the requested EU co-financing amounted to PLN 376.6 billion (EUR 88.7 bln).
