Poland's c. bank governor doubts interest rates will be cut in June
It is doubtful that the Monetary Policy Council will lower interest rates in June, Poland's central bank NBP governor Adam Glapinski told Thursday's press conference following a Monetary Policy Council's decision on interest rates made on Wednesday.
"Nothing is ruled out - there is a sacred formula that decisions depend on incoming data. (...) It is doubtful that we will risk any decision next month," said Glapinski.
"The Council does not want to have its hands tied by any announcements. Some members said that in July, when we will have a projection, some talked about autumn. Nobody mentioned next month," he added.
