Poland's C/A balance in liquid years down to -0.1 pct of GDP in February - MinFin
Poland’s current account balance on a liquid year basis declined in February 2025 to minus 0.1 percent of GDP, against a reading indicating the balance in January, the Ministry of Finance reported.
"For the tenth consecutive month, the annual growth rate of imports was clearly higher than that of exports. As in previous months, exports were most weakened by lower foreign sales of the automotive sector," the finance ministry said in the report.
"Marked declines continued in exports of passenger cars, electric batteries and commercial vehicles, among others, and additionally the downward trend in exports of automotive parts also deepened," it added.
As the Ministry of Finance reported, the capital account surplus amounted to 0.3 percent of GDP increasing the positive loan/debt ratio to 0.2 percent of GDP.
