Poland's C/A deficit in liquid years down to 0.9 pct of GDP in June - MinFin
According to preliminary data, in June 2025, Poland's current account balance unexpectedly recorded a monthly surplus, and in liquid years terms, the deficit decreased to 0.9 percent of GDP, due to a strong improvement in the goods balance, the Ministry of Finance said in a report.
"Imports turned out to be significantly weaker than forecast. Falling oil prices and low activity in the domestic industrial sector had a negative impact on imports, which was reflected in lower demand for foreign supply goods," the ministry said in the report.
"The capital account surplus amounted to 0.6 percent of GDP, limiting the negative loan/debt ratio (-0.4 percent of GDP)," it added.
