Poland's research centre to earmark PLN 300 mln under STEP initiative
The Polish National Centre for Research and Development (NCBR) has announced two further calls for proposals under the Strategic Technologies for Europe Platform (STEP), NCBR said in a press statement. PLN 300 million (EUR 70.3 mln) has been allocated to the initiative from the European Funds for a Modern Economy programme.
As indicated, the calls for proposals are mostly focused on advanced semiconductor technologies, AI technologies, quantum technologies, advanced communications and navigation, advanced digital technologies, advanced detection technologies, robotics and autonomous systems, and innovations in deep technologies.
STEP is an initiative of the European Commission aimed at supporting the development of technologies that are key to ensuring the technological sovereignty of the European Union.
