Polish companies record stabilisation in wage pressures - c. bank
Wage pressures in companies remain stable, according to Poland's central bank NBP latest 'Quick Monitoring' survey.
"Wage pressures, as assessed by the companies surveyed, have remained relatively stable for a year. In the first quarter, the share of companies feeling pressure to increase wages increased slightly (to 68.0 percent from 66.5 percent in the fourth quarter of last year), without deviating significantly from the long-term median (67.0 percent)," NBP reported.
In contrast, the percentage of respondents indicating intensified wage pressures was at a level similar to the previous reading (15.2 percent against 15.1 percent in the previous quarter), remaining below the long-term median of 19.4 percent.
